Still seeking people to interview!

I'm creating a podcast to lead up to the WTCA Radio Show and a big part of that is interviewing local people; both business owners and private citizens.

Why?

If you're going to build a show to celebrate a community, it's a good idea to get to know the community.

The primary purpose of both the podcast and the live show on July 21 at 3pm at the TCS is the celebration of the human element of the city of Tecumseh, past, present and future. Toward that end I'm digging into the people who are connected to Tecumseh now and sharing their stories.

Stories are powerful things. They give us the ability to share experiences without having been there. They increase understanding, build community and help develop culture that recognizes and values every voice.

But isn't this a comedy variety show in radio format?

Yes it is. That doesn't mean it has to be vapid and irrelevant. We can laugh and sing and still appreciate the things that make us who we are in an atmosphere of loving community. It's going to be fun.

So is the podcast just going to be interviews of people we already know?

Not just interviews. There will be humorous bits and music in each episode. But the interviews are also geared toward learning things we don't already know about these people who are a part of our everyday lives.

When will the podcast start and where can I hear it?

The podcast will begin June 21. It will be available on Spotify and at SDGcreative.net/radioshow
